"Things that have only been in mind come real, just to speak of them means they exist a little more. The soft unfurling of imagination. A space. A hesitation. A small journey to the kettle. Then creation starts again, often and on repeat."

Our retreats are about celebrating the act of making in the digital age.

We believe that through being creators of our immediate environments we can re-engage with the natural world whilst pampering mind body and soul. Outside of the activities there’s always the opportunity to take time for yourself.  Spend time listening to records in your room or reading texts especially curated with slowing down in mind. Go for walks, swim in nearby lakes and rivers or cycle along one of the many disused train lines and ancient ash-shaded lanes.

For all our retreats the fundamentals are the same: Freshly prepared meals using local produce are included, as are use of the facilities and any other activities that might be offered. We will help arrange pick you for up from Limoges or Poitiers airports or Poiters TVG train station, and we promise there will never be more than 12 participants.

Sometimes slowing down gets us where we want to be faster. This retreat pulls together local knowledge, materials and ingredients to practice the art of slowing down.

This weekend shares their ethos that more engaged we are with the fabrication of our every day things, the more enjoyable life is.
