The Pathmaker Weekend

THE PATHMAKER WEEKENd

Thursday 21st - Monday 25th June 2018

“Without easy access to the resources of this primitive, instinctual self, humans alienate their bodies from their souls.” Dr Peter A. Levine (founder of the Somatic Experiencing approach.

Facilitating the transition from spring to summer, we are working with multidisciplinary artist Camilla Emson to offer you a very special movement and making based retreat in the days following the summer solstice. This special long weekend uses movement to unlock creativity and nourish the relationship with your physical self, led by Emson, with support from Maison Salvadore founder Corinne Aivazian. The retreat is inspired by research that shows how gradual changes in one’s movement repertoire can lead to changes in one’s inner landscape, allowing you to find peace and connectivity within.

This special long weekend uses movement to unlock creativity and nourish the relationship with your physical self. all activities apart from the morning movement class are optional, but during your stay you will:

  • Make and move in studio spaces and outdoor terraces with views over the river and beautiful surrounding countryside.
  • Eat meals lovingly prepared using local produce.
  • Use your free time to wander through the streets of our picturesque village or explore further a field on one of our vintage bicycles.
  • From afternoons in the ceramics studio to evening pampering sessions with artisanal aromatherapy masks, this special long weekend has been designed to allow you to do as little or as much as you like.

One thing is sure,  you will emerge replenished and ready for summer, full of wellbeing and artistic abundance.
